Vanessa Paschakarnis is one of a select group of women in Nova Scotia to win a "Progress Women of Excellence Award" in the category Arts and Culture for 2011.
This award is given to women or groups of women who make a significant, professional contribution to the development, preservation or appreciation of the visual or performing arts, which enrich the cultural life of the community.
The Canadian Progress Club – Halifax is holding this awards and fundraising event (now in its 22nd year) during a Gala evening and dinner on November 16th, 2011. It is a one of its kind event in Atlantic Canada.
