The Red Shield is worked from the red shields series. It is standing upright, casually leaning against a pole. As a thing that is not armature or shell, it reflects on our uprightness, opposes our sense of being – superior. The Red Shield grounds us and makes us wonder how we relate to inhuman things, it makes us wonder about the nature of objects and our relation to form as a presence that seems to be familiar, but rests unknown.
